Kayla Mueller
Kayla Mueller, Founder and Executive Director of Rooted Gypsy Repertoire, is a Colorado native with a profound love for theater.
Kayla's journey to becoming the Executive Director of Rooted Gypsy Repertoire was shaped by her remarkable life experiences. As a military spouse, she spent 12 years traveling the nation, which provided her with a unique opportunity to perform on a multitude of stages across the country. Her diverse experience spans both community and professional theater roles, including directing and choreographing.
After completing a final active duty assignment on the East Coast, Kayla returned to her Colorado roots in 2022 and made Canon City her home. It was here that the seeds of Rooted Gypsy Repertoire were sown, driven by her unwavering commitment to the world of live entertainment and a passion for educating the next generation of performing artists. Kayla believes that theater education is not just about performance; it is about cultivating skills such as teamwork, empathy, and self-expression, which are invaluable in all aspects of life. Through RootED, she aims to create a nurturing environment where aspiring performers can explore their talents and develop their craft, ultimately enriching the local arts community.
