Fundamentals of Dance Workshop

Join us for our Fundamentals of Dance Workshop designed to unleash your creativity and enhance your performance skills! Perfect for individuals 13 and older of all experience levels whether you're new to performance art or you're looking for an opportunity to get back on the stage! This workshop can be taken as a stand-alone event OR for the fullest experience, in conjunction with our other dance workshops to further build on concepts taught.

Workshop Highlights

• Diverse Dance Styles: Emphasis on a variety of styles and an understanding of how these distinct differences are used in theatrical storytelling.

• Technique & Body Awareness: Learn foundational movements and technique essentials for all dance forms while developing an understanding of body alignment, posture, and movement quality.

• Rhythm and Timing: Engage in exercises to improve musicality and coordination with "counts".

• Performance Skills: Develop your stage presence and learn how to connect with an audience.

• Expert Instruction: Learn from seasoned professionals with extensive background in theater and dance.

What to Expect

We'll kick off with some stretching to prepare our bodies for movement. Your instructor has extensive background in teaching all ages and skill levels and is passionate about creating a positive and engaging environment where all dancers can thrive. Material covered will be catered to various skill levels, so don't worry too much about your experience level!

• What to Bring: Comfortable clothing to MOVE in, dance shoes(or flexible sneakers with NO tread), water bottle.
